Serenity Spanish Restaurant

December 18th, 2009

I’m going to blog about food again… I don’t exactly know how to cook so I can’t help but eat out everyday and doing so makes me appreciate the works of art that fresh ingredients have the potential to become even more. And yea I’m admitting to one of my weak spots: my inability to cook. If only people appreciated baking as much… I enjoy baking, but not cooking... But I love eating in whole.

So anyway, Ferlyn and I headed down to the Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant for dinner yesterday and we enjoyed dining while listening to their three-piece acoustic band play live. I love eating out in Singapore because with its mix of cultures, influences, as well as its massive diversity of people, this city has so much to offer when it comes to wining and dining.

I got to try their Salmon Papillote – baked salmon with julienne vegetable and fresh herb served with mashed potato and cherry confit. This main course also had a title of being one of Singapore’s top 100 signature dishes. The salmon had a mildly sweet taste to it and its texture was delicate enough, bringing out its flavor.

Overall, it had a nice chill atmosphere and the service was really good! Its in the heart of Vivocity so its a great spot to dine at once you’re done with shopping at the malls.
