in Beijing…
Rei and I took a 2 hour flight over to Beijing and I was freezing throughout my stay there because the weather was horribly cold. I’ve been to much much colder places like Czech Republic but somehow those places didn’t feel as bad because the winds weren’t as strong. But Beijing in December = Biting cold + Strong strong strong winds = Intolerable weather!!!
Honestly, if Beijing weren’t that amazing, I would have immediately catched the next flight straight back to Singapore.
And yes Beijing is that amazing FYI.

The venerated Chinese history has strewn the land of Beijing with amazing sites of cultural and historical interest. We drove up to visit the Forbidden City – home to 24 emperors during the Ming and the Qing dynasties in China. The Forbidden City is the largest palace in the world and it was first constructed in 1406 by the third Ming Emperor, Yong Le.

The listening devices. I had to put my Chinese skills to a test because the English listening devices ran-out.

The Gold-bolted Giant Red doors to the Forbidden City.

Next stop = The Great wall of China!
A trip to the this emblem of Chinese civilization is a must if you visit China! We took another 2 hour drive up to The Great Wall to explore the area…

Adorable camels around the area. I wish I had one of these as my pet…

On board the Cable Car on the way to the Great Wall of China…

There actually weren’t that many tourists when we went there because the weather was really really cold.

The Great wall of China is one of the 7 wonders of the Ancient & Medieval world first built in the 7th century B.C. It also is known as the longest man-made structure in the world consisting of 9 sections that tourists can visit. The construction of the wall is incredibly amazing…

The weather was a bit overwhelming at first but in the end, Beijing had been an endless treasure and experience, revealing impeccably beautiful art, history and culture around every corner. I had a fabulous trip. Also thanks to all the friends that I’ve met up with there!
